Special Sea
The Ligurian Sea offers opportunities
for diving or to simply enjoy its splendid
beaches and all the services and equipment
available.
The Ligurian Sea (together with the Corsican Sea),
since 1993 has been declared a cetacean reserve
called the International Sanctuary, and boasts a
high concentration of these marine mammals.
If you carefully observe the surface of the
waters in these areas, it is possible to find at
least eight different species. |

Moto &
Bike
The coastline and the inland offer MTB fans
extraordinary landscape, cultural, and
naturalistic attractions. All of Liguria, with
its peculiar “terraced” landscape, where
mountains are set one against the other as if to
keep themselves from tumbling into the sea, are
home to myriad villages and hamlets clinging to
their peaks or hidden in the woods, which offer
mountain cyclists stupendous panoramas and
itineraries that suit the most varied tastes and
skills. |

Trekking
The inland landscape is rugged and wild and the
coastal one is no different. High cliffs
overhang cobalt blue seabeds, shadowing over
gravel beaches. Following the numerous
itineraries that wind along the entire coast, it
is possible to admire breathtaking panoramas of
the villages that make up the Cinque Terre:
Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and
Monterosso. A landscape that is well worth
taking time to explore. The only way to do this
is to proceed slowly on foot, along the old
paved mule tracks that climb to the terraces and
reach the sanctuaries. |

Maps
and Routes
The coast is extraordinarily panoramic.
If followed, you can visit the various villages,
beginning with the Golfo dei Poeti and arriving
as far as Portofino, passing through the Cinque
Terre, Bonassola, Deiva Marina, and all of the
Golfo del Tigullio.
The trails cross vineyards marked not only by
paths, but also by cableways and modern
monorails (a unique characteristic of the Cinque
Terre). |
